Badosa first semi-finalist in Beijing
Paula Badosa's resurrection continues.
Back in March, the Spaniard explained that she was suffering from serious physical problems with her back. She even revealed that she had considered retirement.
However, this option now seems a long way behind her.
After a superb end to the summer, Badosa won the title in Washington, reached the semi-finals in Cincinnati and reached the quarter-finals of the US Open.
Far from slowing down, the 26-year-old is continuing her fine form this week.
In Beijing, she has just qualified for the semi-finals, without losing a single set.
A magnificent winner over Pegula (6-4, 6-0) in the Round of 16, she didn't fall into the trap this Thursday.
Facing local player Shuai Zhang, Badosa mastered her game superbly, winning in just two acts (6-1, 7-6 in 1h24).
