Badosa withdraws from the Indian Wells tournament

Paula Badosa was very uncertain for the Indian Wells tournament after her withdrawal last week against Daria Saville in the quarterfinals of Merida.

It is now official, she withdraws and will not face Caroline Dolehide.

The 2021 Indian Wells champion is suffering from lower back problems.

Eva Lys, who lost in the qualifiers, is therefore repêchée and directly qualified for the second round.
