Beaten by Moutet in Washington, Müller chooses irony on social media
While Alexandre Müller was set to face Holger Rune in the second round of Washington, the Dane ultimately withdrew.
His compatriot Corentin Moutet replaced him. What might have seemed like good news for Müller turned out not to be.
Moutet won with a score of 6-0, 6-1 in 58 minutes, capitalizing on his opponent's 37 unforced errors.
On his X account, Müller posted a GIF of a bicycle with the caption: "I got scared," the bike referencing the tennis score of 6-0, 6-0 (a "double bagel").
As for Moutet, he will face Dan Evans in the third round.
