Becker: "Doping is completely opposite to Sinner's personality"
Boris Becker has commented on the doping case involving Jannik Sinner.
In an interview reported by Tennis Up To Date, the German spoke about anti-doping controls and integrity in tennis, highlighting the Italian's ethics and personality.
"Yes, doping is completely opposite to his personality. I have total confidence in him. I am more wary of players who suddenly explode during a season or who are phenomenal for two or three tournaments. That kind of thing is suspicious. But Jannik has been among the best for years."
For the record, Sinner was sentenced to a 3-month suspension for negligence by the World Anti-Doping Agency. This decision follows a positive test for clostebol (an anabolic steroid) at Indian Wells in 2024.
