Before her final in Cincinnati, Swiatek secures her qualification for the WTA Finals in Riyadh
Iga Swiatek will compete in the year-end Masters (November 1-8) for the fifth consecutive season.
Ranked No. 2 in the Race, the Polish player secured her spot in Riyadh by reaching the final of the WTA 1000 in Cincinnati yesterday.
Having reached the semifinals of every major tournament (Grand Slams or WTA 1000) this season, Swiatek has been on a winning streak since late June, starting with her title in Bad Homburg, followed by her first triumph at Wimbledon.
These recent results have allowed her to surpass the 6,500 points needed to qualify for the WTA Finals. She joins Aryna Sabalenka, who had already secured her spot in July with over 7,500 points accumulated this year.
Swiatek won the WTA Finals in 2023 in Cancún without dropping a single set throughout the competition.
