Swiatek Triumphs in Cincinnati Final

After her victory at Wimbledon, Swiatek claimed another trophy this season by defeating Paolini in the final of the WTA 1000 in Cincinnati (7-5, 6-4).
Despite falling behind by 3 games early in the first set, the Pole showed no hesitation in overcoming her opponent. Solid on returns and flawless on break points, she finished the tournament without dropping a single set. The Italian, meanwhile, displayed strong resistance but was quickly overwhelmed by the world No. 3's quality.
With 11 WTA 1000 titles, Swiatek has become the most decorated active player and the second-highest in WTA 1000 titles won since 2009, trailing only the legendary Serena Williams.
Thanks to this result, she reclaims the No. 2 spot in the world rankings and will be the No. 2 seed at the US Open, a tournament she won in 2022.
