"I am shocked and really happy," Swiatek's words after her triumph in Cincinnati

Victorious in the final against Paolini (7-5, 6-4), Swiatek claimed her first title in Cincinnati and also her first WTA 1000 title since Rome in 2024. Despite a rollercoaster start to the season, the Polish player has regained her form and emerges as a favorite for the US Open.
"Thank you, everyone. First of all, great speech, Jasmine. I don’t think I could do better. Congratulations on your entire tournament. As always, you play incredibly well, and I hope we’ll face each other in the US Open final in the next two weeks.
Thank you for being such a positive person every day—it’s truly rare. It’s always a pleasure to see you. Congratulations to your team for their incredible effort and hard work. It’s been a joy.
I also want to thank my team. I don’t know how I managed to win these last two tournaments (laughs). So, thank you for pushing me to become a better player, especially in learning to play on these faster surfaces.
I am shocked and really happy. Thank you for your constant support," she said during the trophy ceremony.
