Jack Draper will, like last year, be in the quarterfinals at Queen’s after a tough win against Alexei Popyrin on Wednesday.

The world No. 6, if he qualifies for the semifinals, would overtake Taylor Fritz in the ATP rankings, becoming the No. 4 seed at Wimbledon. Ahead of his match against Brandon Nakashima, Draper discussed his recent physical progress in a press conference:

"I’ve always worked very hard off the court. I think it’s helped me play on the tour with more consistency. I’ve felt better and better with each Grand Slam I’ve played.

I think before, I didn’t have as much energy. I felt like I resembled a Ferrari, but in reality, I was a Toyota that broke down easily. Now, I feel stronger and more confident.
