Beijing ATP: Cazaux Survives Scare, de Minaur and Medvedev Hold Their Ground

Friday's action continues at the Beijing ATP 500. Facing local player Juncheng Shang, Arthur Cazaux narrowly prevailed in a third-set battle.
The match started disastrously for the Frenchman, with the Chinese player dominating the first set 6-0. Broken early in his second service game of the second set, Cazaux managed to regroup and fight his way back into the match, eventually clinching the set in a tie-break.
Physically struggling in the third set, Shang took a medical timeout but was ultimately broken in the 11th game. Despite facing three break-back points, Cazaux held his serve to win 0-6, 7-6, 7-5. He will face Jakub Mensik in the next round.
Alex de Minaur continues his momentum after a strong Laver Cup performance. The Australian made a successful debut against Yunchaokete Bu, winning 6-4, 6-0. He will next play against Arthur Rinderknech.
Daniil Medvedev similarly maintained his form, defeating Cameron Norrie 6-3, 6-4. He will face Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the following round.
