Berrettini gives his opinion on the current situation of Italian tennis and discusses Sinner's absence

Qualified for the round of 16 by defeating Bergs in two sets (6-4, 6-4), Berrettini will face De Minaur for a spot in the quarterfinals.
In the absence of Sinner, Berrettini is the third Italian representative qualified for the round of 16 in Miami. The 28-year-old player is joined by Musetti and Paolini.
In an interview with Sky Sports, the world number 30 reflected on the impact of Sinner's absence and the importance of representing his country:
"Italy is here, even without Jannik, who is the leader of our nation. We carry the flag and we are trying to improve.
For me, it's the first time here in the round of 16. Jasmine is also doing great things. It's a true honor to share these emotions with them.
Italian tennis is in good health, and we are achieving excellent results. We need to continue like this."
