Bertolucci Unfiltered on the Competition: "Sinner Can Sleep Soundly"
For many, Sinner's absence should have boosted the performances of other players on the tour. However, the reality was quite different, as Alcaraz and Zverev, among others, failed to fully capitalize on the Italian's absence.
In an interview with *Corriere della Sera*, Paolo Bertolucci shared his thoughts on the world number one's return. According to him, the 23-year-old player has nothing to worry about regarding his main rivals:
"What we thought was that his opponents would be able to close the gap in the rankings or even surpass him, but instead, they've been disastrous. So Sinner can sleep soundly.
Zverev made a scheduling mistake by playing in South America, and from there, things went wrong for him, costing him ranking points. Alcaraz said he felt a lot of pressure, but even taking that statement at face value, the fact remains that he lacks consistency—something we already noticed last year," he said in an interview shared by *Tennis World Italia*.
