Binaghi annoyed by the Sinner affair: "Apart from a few idiots, everyone understands".
The president of the Italian Tennis Federation, Angelo Binaghi, came to Jannik Sinner's defense: "We are confident that he will be cleared."
Sinner faces one to two years' suspension after two positive tests for an anabolic steroid in March 2024.
Initially cleared by the International Tennis Integrity Agency, he remains under threat due to the World Anti-Doping Agency's appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, whose decision has yet to be handed down.
Binaghi adds: "Apart from a few idiots, people all over the world understand what happened. Whatever the decision, there is no doubt that Sinner is one of the cleanest and most honest athletes in world sport."
