Blancaneaux dominates Seyboth Wild to reach the third round of qualifications at Roland-Garros

After the cancellation of the rest of the matches at Roland-Garros due to rain, Geoffrey Blancaneaux and Thiago Seyboth Wild were the only two players to face off on Suzanne-Lenglen, thanks to the presence of the roof.

The Frenchman, ranked 270th in the world, reached the third round of qualifications with a calm 6-3, 6-3 victory over the Brazilian, who had upset Daniil Medvedev in the tournament's first round two years ago.

After two consecutive failures in 2023 and 2024 to reach the main draw, Blancaneaux will have another opportunity on Friday against the winner of the match between Nikoloz Basilashvili and Valentin Vacherot.
