BNP Paribas Extends Partnership with Indian Wells Until 2029 and Retains Its Place as Historic Sponsor

BNP Paribas has announced the extension of its partnership with the Indian Wells tournament. A five-year contract has been signed, lasting until 2029.

Having been the historic sponsor of the tournament since 2009, BNP Paribas has become the longest-standing sponsor in the event's history. An increase in the number of scholarships for local students has also been announced, rising from 4 to 10.

BNP Paribas has contributed to the massive development of the tournament over the past 17 years, delivering incredible results. Notably, a record attendance was achieved in 2024, with 493,440 spectators over the two-week period.

The tournament has also established equal prize money for men and women, with nearly $20 million distributed across both tours.

In 2024, Indian Wells was named Tournament of the Year alongside Queen’s and Doha. ATP and WTA players voted the California event as the best for the tenth consecutive year, setting a record.

“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with BNP Paribas. Their support has helped make the BNP Paribas Open a world-class destination,” said Tommy Haas, BNP tournament director, during the press conference.

It is important to note that BNP Paribas is one of the longest-standing sponsors in tennis worldwide, with a commitment dating back to 1973.
