Bonzi keeps up the momentum to reach the semi-finals in Metz!
In fine form at the end of the season, Benjamin Bonzi reached the last four of the Moselle Open after defeating Quentin Halys (6-3, 7-6).
The 124th-ranked player in the world was more solid than his compatriot throughout the match, winning 86% of points behind his first service ball and performing very well on his return (44% of points won on Halys' service games).
This dominance was perfectly illustrated in the tie-break of the second set (7-1), where he gave his opponent no chance of going on to win the deciding set.
Thanks to this victory, Benjamin Bonzi has virtually climbed to 105th in the world rankings and is now just one win away from a return to the Top 100.
In the semi-finals, he will face the winner of the match between Yunchaokete Bu and Alex Michelsen.
