Insolite - Ruud attended a gala the day before his match in Metz!
Eliminated from the Moselle Open after being beaten by Benjamin Bonzi, Casper Ruud arrived late in Metz.
The world No. 7 wasn't really thinking about tennis yesterday. He attended an Elle magazine gala in Oslo and was photographed with his girlfriend (see publication below).
So it was only five hours before the start of his 2nd round match that Ruud arrived in Moselle.
Unsurprisingly, his involvement during the match against Benjamin Bonzi was relative, as the Norwegian was undoubtedly thinking ahead to the Turin Masters, which he will be playing for the third time in his career.
A situation which perfectly sums up the turbulent week at the Moselle Open, which has seen a large number of withdrawals this year.
