Borg: "I'm writing a book".
Captain of the European Laver Cup team for the last time this year, tennis legend Bjorn Borg was kind enough to answer a few questions from our colleagues at The Athletic.
Winner of 11 Grand Slam titles, Borg's early retirement at the age of 26 shocked the tennis world. Reflecting on this shocking choice, he explained: "I was very happy as a player, but the motivation wasn't there.
If you're not motivated to train and compete every day, you can't concentrate on what you're doing and what you need to do.
I was happy, but I had no motivation or concentration. When I came back briefly, it was a different story.
I'm writing a book. I'll tell everyone about it next year."
