Borges confesses his defeat of Nadal: I know we all wanted Rafa to win.

Nuno Borges achieved something big on Sunday. As well as claiming his first career title, he also took the opportunity to beat a certain Rafael Nadal in the final (6-3, 6-2).

The very happy Portuguese, who lost just one set in the tournament and is now back in the world's top 50, reflected on this great moment: "I don't know what to say.

I think I've been waiting for this moment for a while now. I know we all wanted Rafa to win. Part of me wants it too.

But something bigger in me pushed me to do it anyway. It wasn't about playing at my best, but about rising to the occasion when it mattered.

I couldn't have played any better. I'm very moved."
