Brilliant Nadal is one set away from joining Djokovic in the 2nd round!

Brilliant Nadal is one set away from joining Djokovic in the 2nd round!

There were doubts about Rafael Nadal's physical condition.

Now, despite a strapped thigh, the Majorcan is dispelling all possible doubts. Powerful, serious and steady in the exchange, he is totally suffocating a simply impotent Marton Fucsovics.

After just 29 minutes, Nadal took control of the match, surrendering just one game and 12 points (6-1). Truly impressive, the 38-year-old Spanish legend is now just one set away from reaching the second round, and above all, Novak Djokovic.

While there's no need to get carried away, it's been a while since we've seen the Spaniard offer such a high level of tennis.
