Trailed by Australian Alex de Minaur, the Kazakh player found the resources to turn the match around and win 6-7(5), 6-4, 7-5. A major victory, propelling him into the semi-finals of a Masters 1000 for the first time in his career.

And if at the start of the year, no one would have bet on such a scenario, since the summer, Alexander Bublik has been having an exceptional second half of the season: two victories against top 10 players in this tournament, and now a spot very close to the world top 10.
The man sometimes labeled as an "inconsistent talent" is proving that he has found the balance between genius and discipline. By reaching the semi-finals of the Rolex Paris Masters, Bublik also makes history for his country: he becomes the first Kazakh player to reach this stage in a Masters 1000.
Finally, with this new success, Alexander Bublik remains in contention for the ATP Finals, the prestigious tournament featuring the top eight players of the season.
