By qualifying for the Miami final, Mensik joins Nadal and Alcaraz on an exclusive list

Mensik secured his spot in the Miami final by defeating Fritz (7-6, 4-6, 7-6). This places him on a very short list of the youngest players to reach a Masters 1000 final.

Since the creation of the Masters 1000 in 1990, Chang became the youngest player to reach the final in Toronto in 1990 (18 years and 158 days).

He is followed by Nadal in Miami in 2005 (18 years and 304 days). Gasquet comes next with Hamburg in 2005 (18 years and 331 days).

At 19 years and 210 days, Mensik now ranks just behind Rune (19 years and 191 days at Bercy 2022).

He will face Djokovic in the final on Sunday.
