"Carlos is currently experiencing the best period of his career," Corretja praises Alcaraz ahead of the US Open final against Sinner

This Sunday, starting at 8 PM in France, the world's two best players, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, will face off in the US Open final. After their title duels at Roland-Garros and Wimbledon, the Italian and the Spaniard will both be aiming for a second crown in New York.
To add even more spice to this final, the winner of the title will also become world number one this Monday with the release of the new ATP rankings.
Former world number two and two-time Roland-Garros finalist Alex Corretja warns Sinner about his rival's current level, as Alcaraz is set to play his eighth consecutive final on the main tour.
"I think Carlos Alcaraz is currently experiencing the best period of his career. And in my opinion, he could hardly be better prepared heading into this final. From the first round (against Reilly Opelka), he showed that he is in excellent physical condition, and he has only improved as the tournament has progressed.
He has found his rhythm, he is more consistent than before, and he is more effective in key moments. You can see he has found a good mental balance, which has allowed him to erase the ups and downs he had experienced in his game in the past.
And in my opinion, he will play at his best level in the big final," assured the 51-year-old Corretja in an interview with Tennis World Italia in the final hours before the showdown between Alcaraz and Sinner at Flushing Meadows.
