Yevgeny Kafelnikov has spoken about the US Open final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. While the Russian believes this matchup marks a great rivalry, there is no longer much suspense about the identity of the finalists in major tournaments.

"Sinner and Alcaraz have largely distanced themselves from the others. Unfortunately, even Novak is no longer keeping pace with either of them in Grand Slams. That is the reality.

I don't know if it's a blessing or a misfortune. I would like Alcaraz to win another Grand Slam tournament. Sinner and Alcaraz have a chance to surpass all their competitors in the number of Grand Slam titles.

However, they are somewhat spoiling the tennis spectacle. When it comes to predictions, everyone knows well in advance who will compete in the finals of major tournaments.

I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Without such competition, it might not be very promising.

It's a bad thing

Who is kafelnikov and who cares what he says? We are currently watching tennis at the highest level ever, and that is surely an absolute pleasure... especially with people like alcaraz playing who play with enjoyment.

I think it is a very stupid thing to say because alcaraz is doing far more for tennis than any of the big three did with their very serious game. He plays playfully and he plays with imagination that none of the other big three had, and that is bringing life to tennis rather than dull, serious people.

All the other commentators lick their behinds so the two don't strike them off their lists when it comes getting interviews with them.

The Russian says it like it is. It is boring when you know who's going to be in the final, all the time.

To say that the big three didn't play with imagination, shows, in the famous words of jelena, you have no education and no class.
