Jérémy Chardy, Ugo Humbert's coach since 2022, appeared this week at the WTA 125 tournament in Angers.
The former world no. 25 was present in the box of American player Alycia Parks (world no. 80) on Tuesday during her first round in the tournament.
Although Chardy has not made the collaboration official, the player's agent confirmed in an interview that she had chosen the Frenchman as her new coach: "She asked me to find her a coach.
I offered her several options. Jérémy Chardy was the best according to Alycia."
A collaboration that is off to a flying start, and which is already bearing fruit as the American qualifies for the quarter-finals in Angers, where she will face world No.159 Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva tomorrow.
