Coming out of the qualifiers, Royer reaches his first ATP final

Valentin Royer, 24 years old, has just achieved a major feat at the ATP 250 tournament in Hangzhou. By dominating Corentin Moutet in two sets (6-4, 6-3), the Frenchman has qualified for his very first final on the main tour, an impressive performance that could be a turning point in his career.
Royer's journey in Hangzhou is impressive: Rublev (6-4, 7-6), Tien (7-6, 4-6, 6-2) and now Moutet (6-3, 6-2), the Frenchman has delivered high-quality tennis throughout the week.
Ranked 88th in the world at the beginning of the tournament, he is now virtually at the 75th place. In the final, Royer will face the winner of the match between Bublik, the No. 3 seed, and the Chinese player Wu, who was invited by the organizers.
