Darderi Wins His Second ATP Title in Marrakech

Luciano Darderi claimed the ATP 250 Marrakech title this Sunday by defeating Tallon Griekspoor in the final (7-6, 7-6).

Already a finalist at the Naples Challenger last week, Darderi entered the match with confidence against the tournament’s top seed.

In a match where the servers held their ground (only two breaks in the entire match), the Italian made the difference in two tie-breaks, proving more solid on the crucial points.

With this victory, he secures the second clay-court title of his career after Cordoba last year. Thanks to this triumph in Morocco, Darderi will return to the Top 50 tomorrow, reaching a career-high world ranking of No. 48.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.
