Davidovich Fokina, the fourth player in history without an ATP title to enter the top 20

Alejandro Davidovich Fokina is ranked 19th in the world this Monday, his highest career ranking.
However, the Spaniard will have to recover from his heartbreaking final loss in Washington against Alex De Minaur. He led 5-2 in the third set and then missed three match points at 5-4 on his opponent's serve.
Still without a title after four finals on the main tour, Davidovich Fokina has entered a very exclusive list. The account Jeu, Set et Maths noted on X (formerly Twitter) that he is only the fourth player since the creation of the ATP Tour to break into the top 20 without winning a single title.
Jerzy Janowicz (14th) and Henrik Holm (17th) are the two players who ended their careers without a single ATP title. Meanwhile, Hyeon Chung, still active on the professional tour despite numerous injuries, had climbed to 19th in the world in 2018.
Although he is on this list for now, Davidovich Fokina still has many years ahead of him to secure his first career title on the main tour.
