Davis Cup: Guillermo Coria steps down as Argentina captain

It was news that had begun to circulate in the local press in recent days. Following Argentina's elimination by Italy in the Davis Cup quarter-finals, Guillermo Coria is no longer captain of the Albiceleste.

The Argentine Tennis Association has confirmed this in recent hours.

"Thank you, magician! After three years of collaboration, Guillermo Coria is no longer the captain of the national team," she wrote on her X account (formerly Twitter).

"El Mago arrived in 2021 and led the team for eleven matches, allowing Argentina to be among the top eight countries at the last Davis Cup. All the best for the future!"
