De Minaur stops an inconsistent Arthur Fils at Wimbledon!
Alex de Minaur will play in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon for the first time in his career. He qualified by beating Arthur Fils on Monday. Much more consistent than his young opponent (20), the Australian won in almost three hours and four sets (6-2, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3).
The Australian will now have the opportunity to confirm his excellent start to the season with his first Grand Slam semi-final. To do so, he will face the winner of the match between Novak Djokovic and Holger Rune.
