This Montreal Masters 1000 is definitely full of surprises.
After the early elimination of Tsistipas and Medvedev, Ruud's withdrawal and Sinner's elimination, Grigor Dimitrov was also defeated last night (4-6, 7-6, 6-3).

Up against a determined Alexei Popyrin, the Bulgarian dominated the match for a long time, even winning three match points.
In the end, it was not to be.
Lacking success in the decisive game of the second set, the world number 10 finally paid for his lack of efficiency on important points (1 break point converted out of 10).
Miraculously, Popyrin reached the quarter-finals, where Hubert Hurkacz, back from injury and in search of a rhythm, awaited him.
