Djokovic advances to the Roland-Garros round of 16 for the 16th consecutive time
It was a smooth day at Roland-Garros for Novak Djokovic, who defeated qualifier Filip Misolic in straight sets (6-3, 6-4, 6-2) in the third round.
The Serbian, who had comfortably cleared the first two rounds against McDonald and Moutet, faced the world No. 153 in this night session on Philippe-Chatrier. Precise in his play (33 winners to 14 unforced errors), he needed only four breaks to take control in each set.
With this 99th career victory at Roland-Garros, Djokovic will face Cameron Norrie in the round of 16. The two met just a week ago in the Geneva semifinals, where the former world No. 1 claimed victory in three sets (6-4, 6-7, 6-1).
