Djokovic Begins His 900th Week in the Top 10 and Closes In on Nadal
At 38 years old, Novak Djokovic continues to shatter records. Already holding the all-time records for Grand Slam titles (24) and Masters 1000 victories (40), the Serbian has now added another staggering statistic to his résumé.
Indeed, as of Monday, July 21, 2025, the Belgrade native has begun his 900th week in the ATP Top 10 rankings (555 consecutive weeks from March 19, 2007, to November 5, 2017, and 345 consecutive weeks from July 16, 2018, to this week).
He only left the Top 10 for 36 weeks (from November 6, 2017, to July 15, 2018), primarily due to an elbow injury. It’s also worth noting that, of all the weeks he has spent in the rankings, he was world No. 1 for nearly half of them (428).
Thanks to this latest milestone, he is closing in on his former rival Rafael Nadal (912 weeks). As for Roger Federer, he remains the all-time leader with 968 weeks in the Top 10.
