Djokovic once again plays the Phoenix against Cerundolo!
Rising from the ashes like the Phoenix is becoming a real trademark for Novak Djokovic. In agony, down 2 sets to 1 and broken in the 4th set (1-6, 7-5, 6-3, 4-2), with a knee so badly damaged that it seemed he could no longer push off his right leg, the Serb nevertheless found the resources to turn things around.
Or at least to begin to turn things around, as he came back to level with Francisco Cerundolo (6-1, 5-7, 3-6, 7-5) to contest a 5th set on Court Philippe Chatrier. It now remains to be seen what the real state of the world No.1's knee discomfort is, and whether he will have the energy to complete this new comeback.
