Djokovic Speaks on His Quest for the 100th Title: "Winning It for My 25th Grand Slam…"
Djokovic will start in Monte-Carlo against Tabilo, who defeated Wawrinka in the first round (1-6, 7-5, 7-5). Still chasing his 100th career title, the Serb spoke about it:
"I still believe I have enough fuel left in the tank. As I showed in Australia during the first Grand Slam of the year and in Miami, I can still compete at the highest level.
The competition still satisfies me. Many people think I should leave tennis on a high note. I understand that. Others believe I should have stopped after winning the gold medal at the Olympics last year in Paris.
Let’s see what the future holds. If you told me I’d win my 100th title at a Grand Slam, I’d sign up for it right away. But it’s a steep mountain to climb. We have to stay humble about it."
