Djokovic succeeds in his debut in Geneva and joins Arnaldi in the quarterfinals
After first-round defeats in Monte-Carlo and Madrid, Novak Djokovic rediscovered the taste of victory in Geneva, defeating Marton Fucsovics (6-2, 6-3) in the second round.
The Serbian, who is participating in the event for the second consecutive year, was solid in his opening match, hitting 21 winners against 14 unforced errors and relying on an effective serve (77% of first serves, 79% of points won behind it).
Now qualified for the quarterfinals, he will face Matteo Arnaldi, who defeated Fabian Marozsan (6-3, 7-6). There will certainly be a sense of revenge for Djokovic, who was beaten by the Italian in Madrid.
