Djokovic will finish the year outside the Top 5 for the first time since 2017

The former world No. 1 decided to withdraw from the Masters earlier today.

A decision that will see him finish the season outside the Top 5 for the first time since 2017, when he ended his season ranked 12th in the world after an injury at Wimbledon.

Since breaking into the Top 5 in 2006, this is only the second time in his career that he has finished a season with such a low ranking.

A fine example of the consistency and longevity of Novak Djokovic's career.
