Draper Determined Ahead of Clash Against Alcaraz: "A New Opportunity for Me"

Jack Draper has been flawless at Indian Wells. After defeating Brooksby (7-5, 6-4), Fritz (7-5, 6-4), and Shelton (6-4, 7-5), the British player has secured a spot in the semifinals. He will face Carlos Alcaraz this Saturday.
In an interview with L’Équipe, Jack Draper opened up ahead of his match against the Spaniard:
"He's a great champion. He does extraordinary things on the court, which is great for the sport, the players, and the spectators. I think he sets the bar very high, and that's a good thing for a player like me. I observe him and then I play against him. It makes me think about what I need to do to reach his level. Facing him is a new opportunity for me to show that I belong at the top."
A win against Alcaraz would open the doors to the top 10 for the first time:
"It's obviously very exciting. I used to think about this when I was a kid and dreamed of being part of the world's top 10. I wanted to compete in the later stages of major tournaments. I don't really set specific goals because I feel like I'm living my dream just by playing on these courts."
