Eliminated in the first round of the US Open, Humbert ends his collaboration with Fabrice Martin
Ugo Humbert is having a disappointing 2025 season, having only shone at the start of the year by winning the Marseille tournament.
Since then, the Metz native has accumulated early defeats and injuries, such as his hand fracture that prevented him from playing at 100% on clay and his withdrawal from Roland-Garros. And this week at the US Open, he lost in the first round to Adam Walton, the world No. 85.
A setback that convinced Humbert to change his team, announcing on Instagram the end of his collaboration with Fabrice Martin.
"Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Fabrice. I loved sharing the court with you over this past year. Your calmness, kindness, and generosity taught me so much, both on and off the court.
Lots of great memories, victories, and above all, enjoyment. I am proud to have shared part of my journey with you, and I know our paths will cross again. I wish you all the best for the future," commented the French No. 2.
Humbert will need to regain his form for the end of the season, with points from his finals in Tokyo and Paris to defend.
