"Emma is a very tough player and she's in great form," Anisimova's words after her match against Raducanu

Anisimova seems to have moved past her crushing defeat in the Wimbledon final (6-0, 6-0 against Swiatek) as she has won her first two matches in Toronto. First against Sun (6-4, 7-6) and more recently against Raducanu (6-2, 6-1).
An impressive victory because the Brit had been on a strong hard-court streak (semifinalist in Washington). Moreover, it was a player she had faced for the third time this season and had never beaten until now (0-2). That's why she made sure to praise her opponent's performance in the press area:
"I think I played really well. Emma is a very tough player, and she's in great form. We've had a lot of tough battles, so I’m just happy to have gotten through this one, but it’s not easy playing against her. The atmosphere here today was incredible. I love playing in Canada, and I’m so happy to be here for another day. I love competing here, and I’m just thrilled to keep going."
The American will have another tough challenge in the next round as she faces Ukraine's Svitolina.
