Etcheverry rejoint Zverev en quarts à Roland Garros.

Après un 1er set ultra disputé qui a duré 1h00, l'Argentin n'a fait qu'une bouchée de Nishioka. Il a expédié la totalité des 2e et 3e sets en 1h00 également pour se diriger tranquillement vers son 1er quart en Grand Chelem.
