Eva Lys exposes hate message after Beijing: "Let's not forget the reality"
The German player did not hide her indignation: targeted by a flood of insults from a bettor, she chose to make these messages public to raise awareness about the violence that athletes face daily on social media.
After Iga Swiatek yesterday, it's Eva Lys' turn to expose the hate messages received on her Instagram account. The German player, defeated in the quarterfinals of the Beijing WTA 1000 by Coco Gauff, had to face the frustration of a bettor just moments after her match.
A stream of insults that she decided to share in a story:
"I hope this bitch and her mother die like pigs, fucking match-fixer, you should burn in hell, shitty player.
Your mother is a whore who gave birth to a whore like you. I hope she dies in your arms very soon."
Lys then reacted by writing: "Let's not forget the reality every time we lose a match."
