Even Justin Bieber Would Play to a Half-Empty Philippe Chatrier Court at 11 AM, Says Petkovic

This year's scheduling for the Philippe Chatrier court has sparked major controversy. Since the start of Roland-Garros, every first match on Chatrier (at 11 AM) has been a women's match.

The result? Nearly empty stands. Tuesday night's session between Tommy Paul and Carlos Alcaraz, which lasted only 1 hour and 34 minutes, has also reignited the debate over the fact that no women's match has been scheduled for a night session.

Andrea Petkovic weighed in on the issue: "The real scandal, in my opinion, is that 97% of the matches played at 11 AM on Philippe Chatrier are women's matches!

If Justin Bieber himself were to perform a concert on Chatrier at 11 AM, chances are the stadium would still be half-empty.

An excellent example of how many spectators show up would be the figures of how many attendees the ATP attract vs the WTA in the Canadian Open.

The WTA is no closer to the ATP than the WNBA is to the NBA.
