"Every story I write in my favorite tournament is a great honor," Djokovic reflects on his 100th win at Wimbledon

Impressive in this first week in London, Novak Djokovic has once again reached the round of 16 at Wimbledon. The Serbian, who is aiming for an 8th crown at this London Grand Slam and a 25th Grand Slam title, delivered an outstanding performance in his third-round match against compatriot Miomir Kecmanovic (6-3, 6-0, 6-4).
In this dominant match, the Serbian recorded 60 winners, including 16 aces. This marks the 100th career victory at Wimbledon for the 38-year-old Djokovic. After his success, the world No. 6 reflected on this milestone.
"I’ve said many times that tennis has made me who I am. It has given me so much in life, and it’s thanks to this sport that I’ve had a unique experience. I try not to take anything for granted, especially at my age. I’m still competing against young players.
On the court, I slide, I run as much as possible, and I push myself to the limit. Wimbledon isn’t just my favorite tournament—it’s the dream of most tennis players.
Almost every child dreams of playing and winning here, and I consider myself lucky to have been able to do it so many times. Every story I write in my favorite tournament is a great honor for me," the Serbian told Tribuna.
