"I'll be there when he plays": Federer has promised to attend the matches of Joao Fonseca, a star of Team World at the Laver Cup. A rare acknowledgment that speaks volumes about the Brazilian's potential.

As every year since his retirement in 2022, Roger Federer appears at the Laver Cup to promote the exhibition he founded eight years ago with his agent Tony Godsick.

For this new edition organized on American soil (in San Francisco), the Swiss was interviewed about the first participation of Joao Fonseca, 18, present in Team World:

"I met him for the first time today. I think he has great talent and is a really nice guy. You only hear positive things about him. I'll be there when he plays. I hope he will play several matches to see how good he is."

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

It's a shame that so many matches are being canceled. TT ,you are destroying your game ,and thereby killing your app. I don't know how many matches others have had canceled , but I'm at 3 and it's only thursday.
