Having secured a spot in the Rome final, Sinner, at 23, has become the youngest player to reach seven consecutive finals since Lendl in 1982. But that’s not all—he has just recorded his 94th match winning at least one set against his opponent. These absolutely staggering numbers further cement the Italian as one of the leading figures on the current tour.
Another notable fact: while this streak seems unprecedented since the creation of the ATP Tour (1990), another player has done even better than Sinner. Indeed, with a streak of 194 consecutive matches winning at least one set, the legendary Federer far outpaces the current world number one.
