"The strategy against Nadal and Federer was clear, but not against Djokovic," says Raonic

Asked in The Changeover podcast, Raonic reflected on his matches against the Big 3. Having beaten Nadal and Federer multiple times, the Canadian never managed to find the right solutions in his matches against the Serb. The 34-year-old player holds a record of 12 losses and zero wins against the Grand Slam record holder.
"When you played against Roger, you knew what you had to do. However, in certain phases of the game, the outcome wasn’t in your hands. Roger could outplay you because he was capable of reaching a level that was impossible to match. That made the on-court experience very unpleasant at times.
But once you figured out his pattern, things became much simpler. With Rafa, his strategy was clear too—he would fight and give his all until the last point. However, with Novak, even if you were playing well, little by little, he managed to dismantle your game.
It was very unsettling because you’d lose to him and walk off the court thinking, 'I felt good out there, I just didn’t really have a chance.' In reality, the strategy to use against Djokovic was never really clear," he said in an interview shared by Tennis World Italia.
