Federer racket sells for over €20,000 at auction!

Yesterday in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Aguttes organized an auction of several collector's items that once belonged to legends of the sport.

Several tennis rackets were listed for sale, including those used by Jimmy Connors at the 1991 and 1992 US Opens, and the one used by Gustavo Kuerten when he won the French Open in 2001.

But the most sensational piece was Roger Federer's racket, which helped him win Wimbledon in 2005 against Andy Roddick.

At the time, it was the Swiss player's third title on the London lawn.

Estimated at between 10,000 and 15,000 euros, it finally sold for 22,100 euros to an online buyer.

While this is a high price, the racket with which he played the French Open in 2011, for example, sold for 52,000 euros in 2020.
