Fonseca: "I'm Getting More and More Used to These Kinds of Tournaments and Stadiums"
Joao Fonseca made a successful debut at the Madrid Masters 1000. The Brazilian defeated Elmer Moller with a score of 6-2, 6-3.
In the post-match press conference, he spoke about his adaptation to such big tournaments: "I'm getting more and more used to these kinds of tournaments and stadiums.
I already mentioned in the other interview that I had a bit more experience than my opponent today. It's hard to say because I was younger than him, but I already knew what it was like to play in big stadiums.
I think it was his first time, and he was a bit more nervous. But yes, I feel like I’ve gained a bit more routine, and I’m more comfortable on these courts."
In the next round, Fonseca will face Tommy Paul.
