Fonseca on the Federer-Djokovic final at Wimbledon 2019: "I would have loved to have been Roger and made an ace at 40-15"
Joao Fonseca is set to take part in the Next Gen Masters, becoming the first Brazilian to do so. The ATP has shared an interview with him, conducted earlier this year.
Fonseca talks about Federer in particular: "If I could have dinner with anyone? I'd say Federer. I've never met Roger, but he's my idol in tennis."
He was then asked which of the matches he had seen on television he would have liked to have played. The Brazilian replied: "The one when Roger has match points against Djokovic at Wimbledon in 2019.
I would have loved to have been Federer and made an ace at 40-15 (on match point). I want to change history!"
