Kyrgios on Nadal: "He's the member of the Big 3 who has motivated me the most".
As he prepares to make his return to the main circuit in a few weeks' time in Brisbane after almost two off-seasons, Nick Kyrgios continues to be the talk of the media.
The whimsical Australian has not spared Jannik Sinner in recent months following his positive clostebol test.
On the Nothing Major podcast, the 29-year-old revealed the identity of the member of the Big 3 who motivated him more than the other two.
"Nadal is the player in the Big 3 who motivated me the most. When I played against him, I gave 100% and tried to play the best tennis I could.
I didn't feel that way about Federer or Djokovic when I played them in the past. Rafa, everybody idolized him, they said he was a hard worker.
I wanted to show people that you can have fun, be calm and win against him that way (The Spaniard leads 6-3 in their confrontations)."
